Cove Health is made by Kaldra Apps, a small independent studio run by Kaitlyn Landmesser. Kaitlyn brings two things that rarely sit in the same person: a decade of professional software engineering, and nearly twenty years of living with Type 1 diabetes.
Cove isn't built from a product brief handed down by people who've never given a bolus at 2am. It's the tool Kaitlyn wished she'd had for the last twenty years — designed by someone who has to trust it herself. Every line that ships is designed, code-reviewed, and owned by an experienced engineer who also happens to be the exact person the app is for. Calls about what's safe, honest, and genuinely useful for someone with diabetes come from real engineering and real lived experience, not a model.
